The modern Princess Elizabeth reproduces Lt. William Whisners P-51B-10 HO-W 42-106449 of the 487th FS, 352nd FG. Princess Elizabeth, N487FS, was extensively rebuilt at Duxford in the early 2000s to an authentic P-51B/C specification before being shipped to the USA in time to attend the Gathering of Mustangs and Legends in 2007. This decal represents this Mustang as it appeared at Gathering of Mustangs and Legends in 2007.
