Qatar Airways placed an order for 30 GE-powered 787-8s, and they will be the third carrier to place the new type in revenue service. Qatars current color scheme features a large Oryx on the tail over a gray fuselage with a white bottom and large QATARtitles on the bottom. The first Qatar 787 to be delivered, A7-BCB, was also the first Boeing aircraft to fly demonstration flights at the Farnborough Airshow since 1984 when it made an appearance at 2012s show.
