In Late 2019, the Japan Air Self-Defense Force painted one of its C-130H transports in the blue/gray camouflage scheme that is worn by the services Kawasaki C-2 transports. The scheme adds a real mix of hues to the overall sky blue paint that was the current camouflage for the JASDF C-130 fleet. The first aircraft painted, 45-1074, had previously worn the original delivery green camouflage colors.
