In 2005, Mesaba Airlines painted the first Saab SF340B (N407XJ) in the new Northwest branding color scheme. The rest of the fleet was supposed to follow 407 in getting fresh paint. As it would turn out, no other Saab would be repainted before Northwest merged with Delta several years later. Rumors have circulated that this was due to corrosion and/or fatigue issues that were found during the stripping process. This decal provides the markings for this unique aircraft.
