Le Boeing 737 est un avion à réaction à courte portée, à aile basse, bimoteur et à aile basse fabriqué aux États-Unis. Le vol du prototype a eu lieu en 1967, et la production en série a commencé en 1968 et est toujours en cours. L’avion de ce type a été créé en réponse à l’inquiétude de Boeing à la demande signalée par les compagnies aériennes américaines pour une nouvelle machine à passagers caractérisée par de faibles coûts d’exploitation.
